Malt Extracts are concentrated syrups made from barley which has been transformed by controlled germination and brewing processes in our Dunedin Malt Extract plant. Brand History The Maltexo brand traces its origins from Dunedin at the turn of the 20th Century and has a history of over 85 years of supply as a supplement and food ingredient to customers. It was used extensively by the Government in the post war era as a health supplement for soldiers and it has similarly been used by families with young children for decades.
